Also while it may be true that violence is not a proper response to words, remember they do say that the pen is mightier than the sword. Many people have ended up dead and disgraced over words.

But it's fine for people who aren't Christian to see Christian symbols and messages everywhere? How many churches, crosses, and Bible verses are scattered within eyeshot in nearly every direction. You can't even drive down a fairly deserted highway without seeing three crosses.

You sound like you are saying that Christians can't stand to see an evolve fish...is your faith that weak? Sure seems that way.

I don't think that they bother the 'big guy'. They bother his followers.

Some fucker felt the need to tear off half of my "T-Rex eating a Jesus-fish" decal. I assume it is because they felt persecuted by a piece of plastic. Asshole, that was a gift.

My dad had a limited edition mustang emblem ripped off his car. He bought a replacement and covered the back in razor blades... A week later, his hood had a bloody hand print on it, but the emblem was still there.

Sure seems that would upset some of the faithful. Maybe if he puts a decal of that on his car he will find out what antagonistic behavior is. Better hope only vandalism of his car is the only reaction.

Given that the latter exist while the former doesn't, I'm compelled to agree. But -- I still like phrasing it in a smartass way.

The difference is that one of those is antagonistic. An atheist symbol does not have to be antagonistic to other faiths. The decal that he had could have been perceived as a verbal attack on the vandal. As such the vandalism was a reaction to a personal attack. If the decal had been a TTA symbol or something that said "proud atheist" then the vandalism would have been a personal attack agaisnt BD. A cross is promoting one's beliefs at the expense of others. While the dinosaur is.

I'm homophobic in the same way that I'm arachnophobic. I'm not scared of gay people but I'm going to scream if I find one in my bath.

I'm. Also homophobic in the same way I'm arachnophobic. I'm scared of spiders but I'd still fuck'em.

What do you mean by "some justification"?
That the behavior is to be excused?
Or simply that you understand the motivation?
Both? Consider

Kinda both. Think along the lines of homless guy stealing food because he is starving. Still wrong because he is stealing but it is different then just a regular shoplifter.
