Just checking in. Got distracted there with the other things in life.

Have you been able to do any of your music?

First of all, thanks to everyone. What you said means a great deal.

To answer the above. I have a gig this Friday night playing percussion. I rehearsed on Sat but after having a lumbar puncture and two bone marrow biopsies last week was not at my best. In fact I stood on and crushed a beloved instrument!

Hopefully I will be better on Friday.

This Thursday I see one of my professors in the morning, than another late that afternoon. I gather they wish to discuss options for later.

I am still having various problems which I won't bore you with here. So I am still not through it. But there is hope. Smile

I'm sorry to hear about the instrument. But I'm glad to hear about the gig.

RE: I have survived toughest year. Still in danger, but still alive.
Hey guys.
I just had the first of my two meetings with my specialists today. The conversation lasted about 40 minutes and 90% of it revolved around my death. My chances are apparently not very good. With my cancer at my age....

It was thought a bone marrow transplant in a year may help. Turns out, no. Basically it'd likely kill me. I would "live in agony for a month wondering "why did I do that, and then die". To quote my professor.

Death comes to all of us. I am no different and am not writing this while feeling sorry for myself. I am still determined to fight my way out of it.

Lately I have been rather ill. I've not mentioned it here. Nevertheless it is true. Thankfully anti nausea tablets control vomiting and I have three bottles of them!

I tried to get some dilaudid for my pain but the dr was confused and gave me the wrong prescription. Totally useless. I had the chemist throw it away.

I see my other specialist in three hours.

That's the latest.

Wish me luck as if luck exists. Big Grin

Shit Banjo, that's horrible news Sad Now I'm sad. Hope your other specialist has a different opinion. You've already beaten the odds a few times, surely that kinda toughness counts for something.
