I have survived toughest year. Still in danger, but still alive.
My grandfather lived with lung cancer for a couple years. He died only when he realized it was cancer. (He didn't really speak English, so they'd talk about it in front of him.) He died two weeks after he said he had it.

You can do this. I dare you. I double dog dare ya. Smile

Hang in there, Banjo. Doctors are wrong a lot of the time.

Will do! If only to annoy you poor sods for a while. Smile

What would really hack me off is if you up and died - a mate of mine died after a fight with cancer... It wasn't cool. He really dropped the ball on that one Angry

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

I know Dances.

I will do my very best. I told the second specialist of my faith in science and my trust in him and would and will follow his advice.

I was unaware my cancer, a form of leukemia, was so rare. That rareness is wherein the problem lies. A bit like Chris Squire of Yes dying of a rare form recently. They cannot treat it often enough I suppose.

I sure hope the doctors are wrong Banjo...sometimes they are.

I was told that my diagnosis of Triple Negative Breast Cancer was a bad one. I was told that within three years it either comes back with a vengeance or my risk would reduce to that of anyone who had never had a breast cancer diagnosis. I bet on the latter...I refused treatment (beyond surgery) because I figured that if I had three years left I didn't want to spend it trying to drag my bald head up out the toilet after being sick from chemo.

Since that time the 'death sentence' that is TNBC has been found to not be the threat they thought it was in 2009.

Hang in there - I would rather have the doctors shoot straight then blow smoke up my ass...it makes it easier to make good decisions when you are dealing with the non-sugar coated prognosis.

You have already survived much more than they said you would.

Much love.

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF

Thanks Anjele.

Hey where is the forum lounge? I want to listen to interviews and cannot find the thread?
