I am gonna go with chance. Chance I was born into a country with universal health care, highly trained doctors and at a time when we have accumulated decent information.

I am very pleased we both survived. Smile

RE: I have survived toughest year. Still in danger, but still alive.
I was in for chemotherapy again today. I saw many acts of kindness by staff. A nurse rubbing a sick woman's back as they awaited an elevator. The gentleness of those dealing with me. The patience of the woman behind the counter dealing with the befuddled.

It made me think of that old debate between Hitchens and that idiot Turek. Turek saying “where do molecules get their morals?“ or some such drivel.

The lack of respect for humanity shown by many religious types really annoys me.
Just wanted to vent. Smile

See you when you feel better which will hopefully be very soon.

On a more rational note though, it's been proven that the happier you are and the more you de-stress, the more likely you are to survive serious illnesses. So I'm glad to see you're being so positive. I also want to apologize if it was insensitive to say "sending good vibes" to an atheist. Smile

Definitely keep that determination up! Thumbsup

Hi all.
Thanks for the messages.

I should have known something was up when I arrived for my thursday appointment on wednesday.

What a difference a week makes. I had to have a transfusion. Am home now. I am lucky, I live very close to the hospital.

Bloods and platelets are now okay.

And no, I do not mind people sending "vibes". It is the thought that counts. Smile

Can we say that this is conclusive evidence that not praying and science works?
