I eat maybe one meal a day and I eat whatever I want. My weight has stayed within a five pound range for most of the last 30 years. I was super underweight when I was a teen and in my early twenties. Stress and cocaine may have contributed to that. Confused

I have days where I will eat my way through the house but most days I have one meal and that might be a bowl of cereal. My snack at work is cheese sticks and pretzels and in the afternoon a couple of mini candy bars to satisfy my chocolate craving. I drink very little soda but do drink homemade sweet tea made with sugar; artificial sweeteners tend to make me break out in hives.

The only real dietary change I have made in my life is to cut back on salt...I used to salt my salt...to using more pepper and using a pepper mill so I get the full flavor of the pepper.

One meal a day qualifies as intermittent fasting and is known to be healthy but not if you get calories all day long from sweet tea. You must have good genes to drink the the amount of sweet tea you do and not gain weight. If I recall correctly the first thing I thought when told of your sweet tea consumption was "Diabetties hell, she should be on the lookout for flouride poisioning from that much tea." Smile

I buy drinking water, less fluoride, to make tea because the water here is so full of minerals and tastes like crap. So, I have that covered too. Big Grin

The problem is not the water. It's the tea absorbing flouride from the soil. Too Much Tea Leads Detroit Woman To Fluoride Overdose

I think I must be the only person here who doesn't love bacon.

It took me a couple of months to lose my sweet tooth; problem for me is that it only takes a couple of desserts for it to come back full force.

I don't like bacon either, but I still have my sweet tooth. I have sweets in moderation though because I can't imagine a life without chocolate cupcakes Tongue

RE: I kinda wanna talk about my being a fatass.
I agree with almost all of it.
I just would like to add to the carb bit something.
So-called "no-carb diets" are usually just super super low-carb and that is it.
If you eat fruit or vegetable, I can guarantee you that you will eat carbs because carbohydrates are sugar and sugar is in tons of vegetables - onions even.
I did the whole low-carb thing for a long time and it worked fine but I had to eat so much so much protein (which i generally don't like a lot) that it didn't work out for me.
Also I would like to add to the hormones that have a great influence: thyroids. You diet too much, you fuck up your thyroids. Exactly what happened to me. Mine slowed down and that makes weight gain easier and weight loss harder. So I get to take medicine for that to be at a level that makes weight gain and loss normal again. (And yay, weight loss finally works again)

Now, I am a fatass and I tried a lot of things. From stupid stuff to less stupid stuff.
What I found is, I want a fast success and I will feel more like taking care to keep it down. I would guess that that's what you were looking for. Shortcut as in "I want it fast"
But we fatties didn't gain this much weight in a week so we can't loose it in a week either. So I have to agree, there is no short cut.

RE: I kinda wanna talk about my being a fatass.
Given several of the posts here, I should prolly put a high priority on getting all my hormones checked by my Dr and placed in balance along with diet (aka eating healthy, not like dieting just eating properly for my weight and goals) and exercise
