RE: I'm Thinking of leaving
Mmmm. You started this thread on the day I joined.

I too have no higher education and feel the same when I read comments on e.g. richarddawkins.net.

But what do you, me, Newton, Darwin, Einstein etc all have in common?

We know we don't know so we ask a question.

Ok, so the other three guys I listed actually answered the questions too but my point is that knowledge and wisdom starts with ASKING the QUESTION (whereas, as we all know, religion starts with the ANSWERS).
So, ask away my friend and never be ashamed of your lack of knowledge.

You probably know the Hitchens message that relates to this (I'll write it below if you don't) but think on this.... what was Hitchens greatest skill? Biology, Neurology, Physics, etc? Nope. He knew how to write a clear, pertinent nee incisive Problem Statement ... he knew the right question.

Hitch: "I want to live my life taking the risk all the time knowing that I don't know anything like enough yet, that I haven't understood enough, that I can't know enough, that I'm always, hungrily, operating on the margins of a potentially great harvest of future knowledge and wisdom. I wouldn't have it any other way."
