I'm a Star Trek fan but..
I was talking this morning to a guy that's really into Trek. We were talking about the meaning behind the show and shit like that. My wife a few years ago got me an autographed photo of the original series bridge crew so I told him about it. He wasn't impressed. He told me about all the Trek stuff he has. I wasn't bothered by this. He then told me about his costumes. So I asked if he wore them.
"All the time when I'm home." He said.
I looked at him kinda funny and he said it was no different than wearing a hockey jersey.
I explained that Gretzky actually did what he appeared to do. He played actual hockey.
Shatner on the other hand only pretended to be in space..
I think I upset him.. Meh..
Do you dress up as fictional characters? Do you know someone that does? Do you think it's a little odd? Or do you think it's super weird?
I think it's a little strange myself. I don't get it.

Wearing Star Trek costumes at home all the time, hu? A real chick magnet in this one and super mature too. Dodgy

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

I went to a Star Trek convention once, if I had a Starfleet uniform, I woulda worn it. My buddies have lightsabers, recently dressed up as Jedi and Sith to go to a local comic-con... that stuff I can understand, but regularly, around the house? Ain't that shit made out of cheap polyester? Eww...

Exchange "Trek" talk for "God" talk.

I like to put on a white housecoat and flip-flops and tell people that if they don't believe in me and give me money, they will suffer when they die. That is my favorite fictional character.

The last trek movie I watched they figured out how to bring the dead back to life and they had a transporter that can transport to anywhere.

All seems godly to me

I suppose you think that dressing up as Xena: Warrior Princess makes me odd? Consider

See if I care.

I approve of this sort of thing.
