I'm a new athiest? Help me?

It is a part of you, and a part of who you were. All the things from your past are what make you who you are today. Let the tattoo be a reminder of who you once were, and how that made you who you are now.

But what the fuck do I know?

Great suggestion. It represents part of your journey. Wear it as a reminder of that which you overcame.

Sounds like you're in the perfect position to take complete advantage of the religious around you. You can milk them for all they're worth and they will be none the wiser. Excellent.

The ones who can deal with it grin & bear the symbols and scars of youthful stupidity like a man. The ones who can't suffer. Tough luck! When you had it done you were legally an adult. So you have to bear the full consequences of your actions. But emotionally you were clearly still a kid. But whichever is the case, since you brought it entirely on yourself, as a legal adult, I am not sorry for you. At all! Quite the contrary: I consider it a good joke at your own expense... Laughat

If it's any consolation (snigger): the now deceased Olaf, king of Norway, was covered in tattoos from his neck to his ankles and wrists. In his swimming trunks he looked like an idiot, frankly. Not one square inch of virginal skin real estate left! But when in business suit or uniform nothing of all that was visible.
