Wink I'm burning to post ! (not like Joan of Arc...)
Helllo there !

I'm a little frenchie girl currently in the UKs. I'm 21years old (I feel old... Really), a geek and the kind of people interested in everything. I discovered the Thinking Atheist a couple weeks ago and I'm a huge fan ! I was a fan of Hitchens, I have all his book (in french) and I'm a big atheist as well...

May be it's more easy to be an atheist in France because of the less fanatic aspect of our religious people and because of the clear separation between the state and the church (with some exceptions, like where I come from x) ) but I can ensure you that sometimes, I get some big facepalms moment !

Glad to be here and eager to post ! Have a nice Morning/afternoon/evening/night depending on where you are Tongue

I can actually hear your accent in your typing. I am now officially weak in the knees.

You can hear it in my accent when I talk...

I'm not at all French and I don't live in New York.

What's France like compared to England religiously? Are the French generally more or less religious than the English?

Best and worst of Ferdinand .....
Best
Ferdinand: We don't really say 'theist' in Alabama. Here, you're either a Christian, or you're from Afghanistan and we fucking hate you.
Worst
Ferdinand: Everyone from British is so, like, fucking retarded.

Hughsie > It's a tricky question because if I'm not sure at all that there is less believers than in the Uks, I'm sure that they have different way to practice religion and believe. For example I know a deacon in the drama club of my mum which children aren't baptized or anything because he wants them to chose when they'll be adult x) !

But if I strickly compare the "new generation" from my class in France and the one in Scotland : France has less religious people than Uks. But as I said, it's not very accurate x)
