A short list of Socialsm that we all ready enjoy.

Social Secrecy.
Police Force.
Fire Department.

What would it be like if the fire department was like our medical practices? Privately owned and provided only to those that could afford it? Would they be just as quick to come knowing they wont be paid?

We pay them now with money that is provided threw taxes. We shouldn't have to pay for protection out of pocket.

Regardless of his actual positions, his calling himself a socialist is going to scare a lot of moderate voters and drive down his numbers. It will also motivate the right wing to vote for whichever jackass the republicans nominate. If Sanders gets the nomination I would bet that he'd lose by a comfortable margin.

Clinton I think will also have a lot of the same effect. I really think the democrats have shot themselves in the foot by bringing it down to those two and that we're likely to have a pretty bad 4 years coming up when we end up with one of idiots from the republican side in office.

really ? this video game me the opposite impression

Just my expectations at this point. Once we know who the candidates are and see the initial debates and coverage things may change. I'm not convinced that Sanders local popularity will translate to the national stage mostly because I'm not convinced that his actual message will be received by much of the electorate. He's a known in Vermont but he's a commie/pinko/socialist to much of the rest of the country and that's all they will see.

I think that if people looked past the labels at the actual positions on various issues then he'd have a chance but I don't see that happening. I would not be upset to be proven wrong.

RE: I'm giving up.
I actually kind of dig the sense of resignation I hear from people whenever I bring up the 2016 election. The most common refrain I get is that not that not only are we being shoehorned into choosing between two weak candidates (such has been the case far back as I can remember), but that these candidates are folks that the general public actively despises. It truly is a milestone in someone's emotional development to recognize that their vote doesn't really change anything, regardless of how many new ways the populist message is spun by the Clintons and the Trumps of the world.

I'm really convinced for that matter that it's going to be a Trump/Clinton cagematch. So please, if you know any Trump/Clinton supporters in your life, please do all you can to de-convert early them using reason and evidence. The world will stink a little less next November.

Yeah, that sucks right? If you look in past year's we can see how fucked up the minimum wage system has gotten. Your parents may say back in my day I was paid $1.60 and we were thankful. They be right. But compared to today's economy that $1.60 would have been $10.86. Up to recently minimum wage $7.25 comparatively that would have been ruffly .70 cents.

I pay ruffly a full paycheck and a half on rent. I work 40 hour weeks, and make more then the minimum wage. I pay a considerable amount to insurance company that are not part of the tax collective. The few dollars that come out of my paycheck is nothing for what is manditorialy pulled out of pocket so I can drive my car to the place i make the money to pay for it. I hate insurance. One of the greatest scams of man kind. You pay a small fortune so that your covered if something happens. And when something happens your only covered a small portion.

So where dose the majority of our tax dollars go? If not to our police force, vets, education, Science's etc?
