How do you know that the laws of physics ever not applied?

We don't. It's an open question at this point.

Well, not quite, but I think we're just quibbling over the definition of "usable energy" at this point; entropy only moving one direction in a closed system is the basics, but I lack the technical language to be of much use. That is however, the "reaching a state of neutrality" I was talking about in a nutshell though.

What do you mean by reaching a state of neutrality?

Thanks. My dogs dying was the most devastating thing that ever happened to me. Everyday I feel like it happened yesterday and no amount of therapy or pills help.

We don't. It's an open question at this point.

We know the known laws of science break down at a singularity. If the Big Bang was a singularity, then we can extrapolate from what we know about singularities.

Insufferable know-it-all.Einstein God has a plan for us. Please stop screwing it up with your prayers.

Well, the Bible says that pi=3, bats are birds, and whales are fish.

Common sense is very often wrong. Be cautious hitching your oxen to that wagon.

That was exactly my point. We don't know what happened at the moment of the singularity, or before (if there was a before).

So god too couldn't.
