RE: I need to rant for a second...
ever hear the Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys} version:

I pledge allegiance to the flag,
of the United Snakes of Captivity.

And to the republic for which it stands,
I light it in kerosene and stick it up the ass - of you know who and light it.....

One Nation, Under god {OR ELSE!},
With Freedom and Justice for all..... Who can afford it.

I still find this funny

What is the pledge exactly? Do you say the pledge and sung the national anthem? Or is it a this or that thing?

I don't really like going outside.
It's too damn "peopley" out there....

To understand what the pledge of allegiance means -- read Joseph Heller's "Catch 22" - chapter 11 -- "The Great Loyalty Oath Crusade".....

The difference between prayer and masturbation - is when a guy is through masturbating - he has something to show for his efforts.

It's a 30-60 second chant that's traditionally said at the start of the school day and at some bigger cultural events.

"I pledge allegiance to the flag, of the United States of America. And to the republic for which it stands...One nation. Under god. Indivisible. With liberty and justice for all."
(not gunna worry about punctuation accuracy with this.)

I never said the "under god" part of the pledge, because I always thought it was stupid. In high school my persuasive speech was "Why we should no longer say the pledge in school." haha.

I prefer fantasy, but I have to live in reality.

National Anthem is more common for larger cultural events. Never at the start of the school day though.

Wow, could you imagine having to sing the national anthem every morning in school? Atleast the pledge is shorter.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime; give a man religion and he will die praying for a fish.

It is here; then again, ours is a fair bit shorter.
