Man oh man have you changed your point of view since AF days.

Tell me this. What incentive is there to get off welfare if it is so strong? What's your welfare model like? Details please.

He also lists Zionist. I get it though as he probably had put that up when he was more prominently on this board, which was a bit ago and probably during the Scotland independence question.

He's often in adoration of cultural/traditional concepts in relation to what he thinks is the culture that should be revered. I guess he thinks the English notion as it relates still to the world & even Canada is what he takes pride in. I wonder how he feels now about the Liberal Party just winning in Canada. But his choices of where and why certain cultural traits are to be honored always come off so arbitrarily and personally viewed. Curious of his whole love of tradition and culture doesn't make him want Celtic/non-English identifying folks of those countries to have their cultural heritage as strengthened .

What the fuck makes you think I don't want them strengthened? I support the revival of Irish language and Scottish Gaelic and Manx and Welsh. I support independence for these countries.

Sounds like Social Democracy. This is what the US pretty much is now. At least that's my read.

What incentive is there to get off welfare?

Greed! The desire to make more money!

People are going to continue working even when the basics are covered. I mean if they didn't no one would ever try for a better job than walmart.

Is it wrong that I support their independence, but purely out of a desire to see the empire continue to crumble?

Yes, that's true. I was misusing democratic socialist, I think- because Bernie tends to use it in this way. What Bernie should really be calling himself is what you said, a social democrat.
