Feel free to move there. I'm sure they wouldn't mind someone else getting a check.

Socialism doesn't and won't work well in the US because too many people are lazy and just want a handout.

If everyone was honest and hard working then socialist programs could work.

Well that's a cop-out argument. Do you think other countries don't have to keep their citizens motivated?

And do you have any actual data to support that claim?

That's actually kind of true. The Scandinavian example is a perfect example of this. They don't have true socialism. Most people have jobs. Everyone pays taxes, in some cases a higher tax rate than we would be used to. But the businesses aren't run by the state. In America, too many people just want handouts. Some people just don't even try.

Do you think that we're advocating for true socialism? Is that what the confusion is here? As I side with Bernie, at apparently 99%, then I'd be what's called a democratic socialist.

I advocate for additional programs that would be considered socialist, to fit in with our current socialist programs- social security, medicare, our military, etc. I still support a largely capitalist economy, though.

Is Sanders not an advocate of true socialism?

LOL no.

And fuck you for asking.

I'll say this- I paid my income tax, property tax, sales taxes, and license renewal fees, etc.
Edit: Oh yeah- and social security, and medicare as well.

I know I shouldn't have asked, its embarrassing letting the world know you got unearned income credit.
