Q: Who sounds more and more like a bad Bob Dylan impersonator?
A: Bob Dylan. Big Grin

And just to make germanyTim happy, here's one I like which is a tad embarrassing. Blush But it's pretty good if you're puffing. Wink

Lay, Lady, Lady is one of the best songs ever...Dylan's old stuff is great.

My dad was in college when I was real young during the folk rock period. The first 'big people song' I ever learned all the words to was Puff, the Magic Dragon...I would make mom play it over and over so I could learn it. Mom and dad were into Peter, Paul, and Mary and the Kingston Trio.

Girly, thanks for the links!

I need to head out to the CD collection...some Doors, Clapton, CSNY, Zep...and others sound kinda good for a change of pace.

She'd've had Girly at hello. I counter your Cass with Joplin. Wink [/quote]

Mmm mmm... Sister Janis.
Living each moment as deeply as she could... that's soul. Not some after death, ghosty thing; Soul is right now... that's Janis.

I concur.

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

This thread makes no sense.

Who day are we talking about? Back in my day it was all grunge. Back in Erxomais day they had recently invented the drum.

Please specify before participation commences.

"Back in the day" implies pre-grunge although old Pearl Jam was great...Nirvana made and still makes me gag.

I think we were hitting 60s-70s.

Back in the day is a relative term. Use it as such. Also, it's funnier and more interesting if you post songs that you wouldn't be caught dead singing while sober.

Ok, this video has a song by Nirvana, forgive me.

But watch the video anyways because it's awesome.

I love the part when it goes "I would do anything for love, anything you've been dreaming of" and the drum and guitar pick up. I still too have not figured out what it is he won't do.

There's a bunch of stuff he says he won't do... but for the most part he says: I'll never stop dreaming of you ev'ry night of my life//// and he also says he won't forgive himself if they don't go all the way tonight.
You'd have to get all the lyrics.

Always loved MeatLoaf. Shy
