If a book told you to jump off a bridge...
... would you do it? Are life and death written on a page?

Don't let those gnomes and their illusions get you down. They're just gnomes and illusions.

I would totally jump. I mean, it's written in a book, isn't it?

Oh .....I see what you did there. Dodgy

I would find out who wrote it, why they want me to jump off a bridge and probably try and get them into a mental facility.

I've read that written in books. Exhilarating, like The sound and the fury

Now.. let's say... just for the sake of argument... that you worship a god of hang-gliding-bungie-jumping-scuba-diving. Wouldn't you feel obligated to do so? You know, rites of passage and all that schwahzah?

Probably, yeah. There's something about those milestones and rituals that keeps a community close-knit.

Even when I quasi-believed in that god, I would not have performed said act(s). I was a scaredy-cat for most of those activities, and in retrospect, justifiably so. And the god in question asked for worse shit, which I also did not do, past entertaining in passing. Too crazy.

My god has noodly appendages. because of this fact, I'm obligated to eat pasta.

If God appeared to me and told me personally to jump I would trust Him.
I know that my God do not wish me evil. Spirit confirmed it (personally) to me.
P.S. I gave this answer for the sake of argument. I know that you don't care about my answers. Smile
