If you could choose an afterlife?
If there were an afterlife, and you could have your druthers and create your own reality in one, what would you do?

For me, exploring up-close the far reaches of our universe would come second only to connecting with loved ones. I'd also love to talk with great figures I never knew in mortal life....and maybe a chance to create some Dr Seuss-ian worlds would be fun. I dunno'.....

If I had my druthers, I'd have no afterlife.

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

Definitely populating my own planet with my 42 wives would be my first priority. After that, I'd go make a new planet made from chocolate and I'd eat that for a while. Maybe go start a band with Jimi and Keith Moon.

By the way, I love the word "druthers." It doesn't get used enough these days.

RE: If you could choose an afterlife?
Id like to be a guardian angel for my nephews and niece.....if in some way I could influence the world around them to bring/show oppurtunitys of good things.......if I could somehow unseeingly bring comfort to them in bad times or make them feel better someway about bad situations they may encounter.

When I feel my time is done then Id like to float up to the sun and become one with it.......id be radiating life to the universe and when my time has come and we supernova I will be a "starseed" that will float out into the unknown and maybe become the building block of new life.

For no matter how much I use these symbols, to describe symptoms of my existence.
You are your own emphasis.
So I say nothing.

Pack up all the things i liked about Earth.... which is pretty much everything, minus snowstorms, vulcanic eruptions, parasitism and predation... and refurbish the unlimited heavens with my version, just as everyone else has their own version: we can meet in the overlaps. Of course, all my departed pets are there, gambolling across the green, green grass in perfect amity.

This is why we invented heavens in the first place - not to sing eternal hosannas to a punitive father.

If you pray to anything, you're prey to anything.

I would not want to create an imaginary world where I controlled everything.
This would be interesting for about 5 minutes.

I would want to be born again and experience life over and over new for the first time.

Discovery and wonder are the only true interests for a thinking mind.

You must be a mormon.

The old gods are dead, let's invent some new ones before something really bad happens.

Eternity in a world free of religious intolerance.
