RE: If you had a choice...
I'd like to research most of the untranslated Latin texts left, untranslated to English that is, there's actually a nice amount that would hold me over to retirement.

I am for a special project at my university, though we're only scratching the surface so far. and it's not for a job, just an honors addition so I can have Latin words on my degree.

What do you think is "in" there ? I can see it being fun, but would you expect to discover something ?

Dude, I have ideas for stories in my head for Manga, but I fucking can't draw, or any of that shit.

Whenever you do make a manga, please, send it to me.

Aye, will do, bud.

I would like to do genomic studies.

Right now the field is really interesting. Other than that I'd love to spend time researching all the things Intelligent Design people point out, assuming there is research to be done...

In a strange way having people so desperately looking for gaps in evolution, is helpful to point out areas where we need to do research. Of course that is when they are not lying....

Hmmm, there are no gaps in evolution. Just gaps in our knowledge.

RE: If you had a choice...
Mercenary....? But maybe I'm just a psychopath that way. xD

Seriously, though, I have dreams and aspirations that I fully intend to bring to fruition. Obstacles or not. Those who never reached their dreams either weren't strong/confident enough to do so, or had an immovable obstacle placed directly in their path before they could (future pornstar losing his "tool" in an accident, future surgeon having her hands eaten by a bear on a camping trip, etc.).

I have the utmost confidence in myself, zero tollerance for "second best", and no intention of being shot by accident on a hunting trip, so as far as I'm concerned, my future is set, so long as I am strong/able enough to make it so.

Unforseen circumstances aside, we DO have a choice. Short of being shot in the head or killed in an accident, there is no excuse for failing to reach one's personal aspirations.

Through profound pain comes profound knowledge.
