"In God We Trust" on cop cars
In this article it reports that the phrase is going onto some police cars. While I totally respect the people in blue enforcing the law, I think that "Protect and Serve" is more appropriate.

Some good quotes:
"I think with all the assaults happening on officers across the country ... it's time we get back to where we once were," Garcia told the Red River Sun newspaper.

"It's not only a symbol of moral values but also a symbol of patriotism"

Oh boy....

"If we are honest—and scientists have to be—we must admit that religion is a jumble of false assertions, with no basis in reality.
The very idea of God is a product of the human imagination."
- Paul Dirac

Well at least American cops trust in something.
They sure as shit don't trust in say that an unarmed black guy just casually walking down the street minding his own business isn't a crack dealing gangbanger out to kill a bunch of orphaned babies.

It's idiotic.

And about this nonsense concerning morality - biblical god is so fucking moral that he would make Stalin cry at the injustice. I hope then that cops there won't go in his footsteps.

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

I'm waiting for the first high-speed chase to end with the atheist suspect claiming they were afraid to stop because christian police would kill them.

Or for the atheist to plead not guilty to evading the authorities, because god never stopped him.

AFAIK the lame defence is that "it's not a specific God", so they get away with it, as it's supposedly not promoting one religion over another, which AFAIK is what is verboten according to the US constitution.
