The first week is the hardest. So's the second week. And so on.
I've been without alcohol for over 21 years - my life is better for it. I drink like an alcoholic, act like an alcoholic, think like an alcoholic, lie like an alcoholic, so ... It really does get easier. In fact, it becomes effortless. Just not right away. Hang in there, you get to choose how you live.  When I drink, I have no choices.
