RE: Indoor Cat VS Outdoor Cat (and anything else cat)
I am a frustrated cat person. I'd have them in multiples if it wasn't for the hairy man I married who, despite my best efforts, came with opinions of his own and seems to feel quite free in expessing them. My BFF lucked out, she's got 5 'cuz her husband just wants her to be hapy, and a 6 toed cat for himself. I want her life! Weeping

The only hard and fast rule I have is that declawed cats are not allowed outside. I don't declaw my cats, but I have been known to collect them so that some inconsiderate ass won't collect them and then expect them to live out side, in the wild wide word, with an inadedquate defense system. My cat right now is destroyng the carpet on my stairs because he seems unimpressed with the sixty million scratching posts stategically placed around my beautiful, could-be-n-a-magazine house. Actually, I'm secretly hoping he digs down far enough so that I can tell if there's gold in them thar hills (that would be hardwoods under the carpet on the stairs).

We live in a nice subdivision, full of mature folks. With teenagers. Who think they can drive. Funny, none of them seem to know what that big, red, octagonal thing on the corner is. It's got a word written on it, but I think it's in some dead language. So yeah, kitty no go outside.

We have two indoor cats. Our first cat was rescued from a dumpser as a kitten last April. Wife brough him home all nasty and full of ring worms. We cleaned him up and ended up keeping him.

Here he is at christmas playing in the wrappings

Our second cat was rescued from a local agency a few months back. She had been tossed out of a moving car and had reconstructive face surgery. Can only tell if you look in her mouth. She is a cubbler and like s to sit with me.

Here is the at home pic

You should keep your cat indoors. They can harm birds if you don't.
