Interview about book on Hitler
I heard this interesting interview on NPR the other day about the new book 1924: The Year That Made Hitler (2016). Those interested in the events that led to Hitler's rise to power should check it out.

RE: Interview about book on Hitler
Could be interesting but if I'm not mistaken author isn't historian. I hope he will not go for "definitive answers" or "inevitability" of Hitler rule.

Also idea of Hitler rethinking his goals or means for reaching them in prison isn't new - it appeared in Kershaw biography of Hitler and perhaps even earlier with Fest or Bullock. But who knows maybe this book will shed new light onto Hitler changing from "drummer" to leader?

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

Mikhail Bakunin.
