Interview with Pope Emeritus Benedict
Interesting:

Ex-pope sees church in crisis

Mein Herr Ratzinger, aka Darth Popius, aka Defender of Pedophiles, is reiterating the views of 16th century theologians.

Quote:Pope Benedict XVI warns that the Catholic Church is facing a "deep crisis" following reforms of the Second Vatican Council that was held in the 1960s, the website LifeSite reports.
So according to Ratzie, the reforms were a mistake.

Quote:Among Benedict's concerns are the belief that other religions are equal to Christianity in obtaining salvation and the change in dogma that lessens fears that one's eternal salvation can be lost.

So the stance that other religions (ie Judaism, islam, etc.) are equal is not true. This is what the (former) head of the church believes. If you believe that "god" picked him, this puts you in a conflicted position.

Quote: "The missionaries of the 16th century were convinced that the unbaptized person is lost forever," Benedict said. "After the [Second Vatican] Council, this conviction was definitely abandoned. The result was a two-sided, deep crisis. Without this attentiveness to the salvation, the Faith loses its foundation."
Yes, the progressive and forward thinking church, whose leaders secretly long for a return to the 16th century. (Any wiccans out there might be getting nervous...)

Your baby dies before being baptized? Baby burns in hell.

Seriously, FUCK YOU. You shield pedophiles and then claim that innocents will be tortured eternally for nothing?
You are a twisted, sick, evil motherfucker.

Quote:As for the universalist view that all those outside the Catholic Church can be saved, which was adopted after Vatican II, Benedict asks, "Why should you try to convince the people to accept the Christian faith when they can be saved even without it?"
Wonder what Pope Franky thinks? Maybe we atheists aren't saved after all...

Quote:Even less acceptable, Benedict said, "is the solution proposed by the pluralistic theories of religion, for which all religions, each in its own way, would be ways of salvation and, in this sense, must be considered equivalent in their effects."
So, non-Catholic = burn in hell.

Quote:He also says that hope for salvation is even more needed in an age where technology is driving people apart.
Technology is spreading the truth and shining a bright light on the festering bullshit that they are shoveling.

Former pope was far from being liberal so there is nothing surprising in this interview. He just told what he think.

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

2000 years behind. Yep, that is the cathylicker church.

NOTE: Member, Tomasia uses this site to slander other individuals. He then later proclaims it a joke, but not in public.
I will call him a liar and a dog here and now.

Here are my opinions on that:

It is my understanding that membership in the HY was not optional.
Although there is no doubt that many did want to participate, not all did so willingly.

Even those children who willingly participated would have been more susceptible to the peer pressure, propaganda and cultural conditioning.
(According to Wikipedia, he was 14, and unenthusiastic. Take that with as much salt as you prefer...)

For me personally, there are plenty of reasons to despise him for his adult actions and beliefs. The HY issue is more problematic.

But that is all simply my take.
