I've not been to dunoon for a long time. What are you studying?

I'm from Glasgow born and raised.

There aren't many reasons to go to Dunoon, these days. It's where former Dunoonians retire to. It's the Scottish equivalent of Eastbourne. My dad's parents were from Partick, so I have some Glaswegian blood in me.

I'm doing a masters in philosophy, specialising in ethics.

Hi Steven. I'm curious how you came to determine you were a transsexual instead of homosexual. Transsexual means you just can't get seem to get comfortable with your genitalia whereas homosexual means you are comfortable with your genitalia and merely prefer the same? ... Is that the difference? ...

Hi All,

My name is Heather and I'm 34 years old from New Brunswick Canada. I was raised catholic but I don't think I was really ever a believer. Love the podcasts and decided to get involved in the community.

Welcome! Some of my family hail from Fredericton Junction and St. Stephen.

RE: Introduce Yourself HERE!
I am Johanna, a 26 year old woman from Finland. I study English as my
major in university and I hope to become a translator and an author one
day. My minors are philosophy and modern Finnish. I have a passion for
science and learning and I enjoy books and video games.

I switch labels pretty often, because I find using just one word to describe my position
on the supernatural to be limiting, but usually the terms come from the
general area of non-religious, agnostic and rationalist. If I'm being
funny I'll go with pastafarian or jedi.

Now that I think about it, I could say I'm a triple A person: I am an Atheist, I have Asperger
syndrome and I consider myself Asexual (cake is better than sex).
However I do have a lively romantic streak in my nature, to the point
that I also consider myself panromantic and poly-amorous. I'm frequently
having a new crush on a scientist or a comedian I'm reading / watching,
or even more frequently on a character from the last book, game, movie
or TV show I saw.

RE: Introduce Yourself HERE!
Well, I finally plucked up the courage to join The Thinking Atheist forums so I suppose some introductions are in order.

I am Epsilon, I am 19 at the time of writing and live in an undisclosed location in the United Kingdom, I am a lifelong Atheist and more recently a Secular Humanist (at least I think I am, I don't know too much about secular humanism but I like what I've heard) I am also Bisexual.

I am currently planning my second year in college, I have written a few short stories, mostly science fiction, and hope to one day become a real author. I am also a long time gamer (video games) and particularly enjoy anything to do with racing or science fiction.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask, I may or may not answer depending on how personal they are, but I will not hold it against anyone for asking.

EDIT: It appears I made a mistake when posting, I was unsure where to put my introduction post and I tried the "introduce yourself" thread, then when it did not show I instead started a separate thread in the introductions section, I will defer to the judgement of any more senior members as to which is the correct post, I apologise for the inconvenience.
