RE: Introduce Yourself HERE!
Hi Everyone!

My name is Chelsea, and I am a college student in Northern Indiana. Not many like-minded individuals out here, so I'm delighted to find out this forum exists Smile I'm relatively new to Atheism, so I'm just trying to learn as much as I can and become and better person from it!

major in university and I hope to become a translator and an author one

day. My minors are philosophy and modern Finnish. I have a passion for

science and learning and I enjoy books and video games.

I switch labels pretty often, because I find using just one word to describe my position

on the supernatural to be limiting, but usually the terms come from the

general area of non-religious, agnostic and rationalist. If I'm being

funny I'll go with pastafarian or jedi.

Now that I think about it, I could say I'm a triple A person: I am an Atheist, I have Asperger

syndrome and I consider myself Asexual (cake is better than sex).

However I do have a lively romantic streak in my nature, to the point

that I also consider myself panromantic and poly-amorous. I'm frequently

having a new crush on a scientist or a comedian I'm reading / watching,

or even more frequently on a character from the last book, game, movie

or TV show I saw.

Welcome to the forum.

I am Epsilon, I am 19 at the time of writing and live in an undisclosed location in the United Kingdom, I am a lifelong Atheist and more recently a Secular Humanist (at least I think I am, I don't know too much about secular humanism but I like what I've heard) I am also Bisexual.

I am currently planning my second year in college, I have written a few short stories, mostly science fiction, and hope to one day become a real author. I am also a long time gamer (video games) and particularly enjoy anything to do with racing or science fiction.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask, I may or may not answer depending on how personal they are, but I will not hold it against anyone for asking.

Welcome. More People from the UK is always a good thing Big Grin

I live in a tiny town near Fort Wayne, where the term "atheist" is pretty much equal to "satan worshipper."

It's like that in a lot of places. You're not alone.

Same here, I live in Portage, but Satan Worshipper is synonomous with atheism... even had one of my friends parents call me that.

It amazes me how ignorant people can be at times. I haven't been very upfront about my atheism for that reason.

Well, I like to be a fairly open person, and so I usually am open about any position I have.
