Introduction
Hi there.
Griffon8 is the username I often use, but it's fairly public. You can call me Paul, but I'll answer to griffon or grif, too. Never really believed in god, but it wasn't until after I was exposed to Sam Harris that I was able to become a convinced atheist. My skepticism began with the gift of James Randi's book 'Flim Flam' from my dad. I've joined the local Atheist and Skeptics groups through Meetup, and have a much more pleasant social life now. Are there threads for discussing the podcasts? I have some things to say about the one from 10/9. |

New person.
When you are courting a nice girl an hour seems like a second. When you sit on a red-hot cinder a second seems like an hour. That's relativity. You cannot successfully determine beforehand which side of the bread to butter. |

Ah, good question. I guess if it's atheism specific, use the atheism thread. If its more general try the Casual Coffeehouse. Most people here don't get too bent out of shape about the forum a thread is in, unless you post a mermaid story in the science thread.
