Um if WE HUMANS create irreducibly complex biological structures, isn't that going to fuck-all the claim you are trying to prop up that "irreducible complexity -----> THEREFORE GAWD"...? :rolleyes"

Way to shoot yourself in the head.

Your doing it again TAQ ........

Theism is to believe what other people claim, Atheism is to ask "why should I".

RE: Irreducible complexity
Why is everyone talking like irreducible complexity is a problem? SET, for real, fixes it. What am I missing here? :/

RE: Irreducible complexity
"Irreductably complex" = " I don't understand therefore god did it"

Any system that is possibly in this definition is simply some thing to investigate, not some thing to walk away from lest you remove gods guiding hand.

Isn't that what ID's ultimate goal is, theocracy that makes it a hate crime to question the bible.

Or a department of truth that can veto scientific discoverys that contradict the bible.

They already have high level politicians in many western governments who claim science is lying about radiometric dating results.

Theism is to believe what other people claim, Atheism is to ask "why should I".

Hey Wood, ya might wanna check this out:

Computational irreducibility; it's fringe, but not straight woo like the other thing. Thumbsup

You have missed that this thread has evolved irreducibly into a many-to-one discussion, not a many-to-many.

I loved this comment.

If ever there was a self-defeating argument, this was it.

Anything and everything that has 'created' by humans has been intelligently designed (not counting happy accidents / discoveries as 'creation').
All designs are then built from component parts which have component parts which have component...

Reducible simplicity FTW.

Rule 30 for the win.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.
