An economy flourishes with each voluntary trade, but decreases with each tax, theft and skirmish which socialism promotes.
The U.S. military has bases around the world and is deployed in over 150 countries.....does this "influence" voluntary (wink wink) trade?
The U.S is now a socialist empire really, only the state wants war - Wall mart just wants happy customers and happy employees, corporations don't have any power, since they are involved in voluntary business and don't kill people- the state does however. Wall mart does not have an army, they're just hyper intelligent and can appease the government as do other corporations.

The U.S. is a socialist country?????? Laughat

You must be some tea bagger nut job.

Corporations spend a lot of money on lobbyists, they don't do this just for the fuck of it, they do this because it works and this allows the corporations to have a lot of influence over domestic and foreign policy, meaning that policies are shaped and appeal to the benefit of the capitalist class.

How in the fuck do you think the U.S. is socialist?

Exactly why I came in. Someone should spread the word. Make posters even. And I think cheerleaders may be in order.

Right, but if the Government gets handed money for essentially free, they are going to take it- Corporations are ultimately the result of socialism, as socialism creates the biggest gaps in power between rich and poor, the more lefty USA has become, the larger the divide and bigger corporations get. Look at Russia before it turned to socialism, the soviet oligarch's had more power than the monarchs ever did and I do not need to tell you about the hundreds of millions that have been killed due to socialism.

Cheerleaders? Really? I have this overwhelming fear that Stark and Lord Erxy are rushing to put on a cheerleaders outfit...I'm very afraid now. Thanks VeraWeeping

I'm smelling a closet and someone's in it, if your mind went straight to Stark and Erx. Drinking Beverage

But don't worry, closets are nice, cozy places (unless there be spiders there).

Try asking an actual question.
Is it coincidental that corporations get favors and laws passed in their favor or is it relative to the influence and control that corporations have? Do corporations exert influence and control on domestic and foreign policies?

Simple yes or no answer.... Drinking Beverage
Yes, regardless of the political system.
