RE: Is Global Warming a New religion: Ivar Giaever, Nobel Laureate
Observing nature, understanding chemistry, solar radiation and the basic idea that ice melts when it's warmed is not and will never be a religion.

In his younger days, I'm sure he was more than competent to understand basic chemistry, but some people don't like change and don't want to learn about new and exciting ways in which humans are causing an increase in CO2 and other greenhouse gases.

Religions are based on imaginary things which have no evidence of existing.

Global warming is just the opposite.
TONS of evidence. Lots of science.
I understand it and I'm not really all that intelligent.
I'm most definitely not a Nobel Laureate.

Religion is based on prophecy. The global warming crowd has been prophecy for decades, but none of their prophecies come true just as Jesus hasn't rappelled down the sky as yet. WHere is the 2 to 3 meter rise in sea level they told us about 40 yeas ago?

Playing devil's advocate eh.
Well, believe it or not, global climate science and our observations of the world's CO2 levels have changed quite a bit over the past 20 years. More data has allowed us to see a clearer picture of our global climate and the causes of why the planet is warming.

I shouldn't have to say this, but with new evidence, we adjust our viewpoint to match more accurately with reality.

"Is Global Warming a new religion ?"

375 scientists and Nobel Laureates say no.
