RE: YouTube Heroes controversy
So angry about things that don't concern you in the slightest. Angry enough to derail a whole topic.

I'm not here to debate gender with you. I was in this thread to discuss YouTube. I have no interest in talking to you about whatever subjects you're trying to press. Unprovoked, you have attacked me. So no, I will not be here to argue with you. This isn't "running away" - it's called I'm not interested in talking to someone so beligerent and in a topic that has nothing to do with it.

Anyways, back on topic folks.

No, I mean the common sense to be able to form debates instead of misjudging someone's "feelings" towards something as "angry" and going after that instead of making valid points. That kind of common sense. You know, what you haven't done.

You called them a retard. I think that qualifies as someone being angry about something.

And besides, my temrament is irrelevent. Even if I'm steaming mad, so what?
What's your point?

You can try and diverge from the question all you want but it wont work. Retard.
Why do you buy into this pseudo PC bullshit? What makes you "nonbinary"?

Stupidity is a provokation.

I told you, this is how we work here at TTA. We derail threads all the time, it's really not a big deal.

You have entirely misread the situation. Much like Violex has entirely misread the definition of gender.

RE: YouTube Heroes controversy
I think it's a pretty clever idea for Google to sort of game-ify their new program with levelling up and such. It's actually a pretty obvious idea too. I mean hell, PornHub implemented some achievement system a while back. As weird as that is.

No, it's not an answer. They can be a fucking cow for all I care and go around mooing at people, doesn't mean it's an answer.

It's got nothing to do with deciding what pronoun to use.
His/her/it/whatever's avatar picture is the single most confusing picture I've ever seen. And I work in retail, I see some pretty fucking confusing people on a daily basis. It's like contemplating human existence. We shall never know the purpose of conciseness or life but that doesn't mean we don't ponder it. I don't know if Viloex is a guy or gal and so I ponder it and ask. I must know for the same reason people must know answers to questions.

Quote:why are we getting off topic for this?

You're new around here so let me explain something to you.
Here at TTA we frequently go off topic. You get used to it but continuingly asking to stay on topic never actually gets anyone to actually stay on topic.

Though answering my question would have kept this chain of off topicness to a minimum..

The concept of androgyny far out dates you. If you cannot be comfortable with it, that's a you problem. If you don't like Violex keeping personal information private, that is also a you problem. You have a box, a classification, and Violex doesn't fit the boxes you have. Rather than making a new one, you're upset that you cannot just cram Violex into one of the boxes you already have. Remember that next time someone confronts you who refuses to see any boxes outside of hetero male and hetero female.

Androgyny among humans – physical, psychological, and cultural – are attested to from earliest history and across world cultures. The ancient Greek myth of Hermaphroditus and Salmacis, two divinities who fused into a single immortal – provided a frame of reference used in Western culture for centuries.

Androgyny and homosexuality are seen in Plato’s Symposium in a myth that Aristophanes tells the audience. People used to be spherical creatures, with two bodies attached back to back who cartwheeled around. There were three sexes: the male-male people who descended from the sun, the female-female people who descended from the earth, and the male-female people who came from the moon. This last pairing represented the androgynous couple. These sphere people tried to take over the gods and failed. Zeus then decided to cut them in half and had Apollo stitch them back together leaving the navel as a reminder to not defy the gods again. If they did, he would cleave them in two again to hop around on one leg. Plato states in this work that homosexuality is not shameful. This is one of the earlier written references to androgyny. Other early references to androgyny include astronomy, where androgyn was a name given to planets that were sometimes warm and sometimes cold.

Philosophers such as Philo of Alexandria and early Christian leaders such as Origen, Gregory of Nyssa, continued to promote the idea of androgyny as human’s original and perfect state during late antiquity.” In medieval Europe, the concept of androgyny played an important role in both Christian theological debate and Alchemical theory. Influential Theologians such as John of Damascus and John Scottus Eriugena continued to promote the pre-fall androgyny proposed by the early church fathers, while other clergy expounded and debated the proper view and treatment of contemporary “hermaphrodites.”

Wrong analogy.

Did you really just use Greek mythology as proof of your point?

Look. I have nothing against people that are guys and feel like women or women and feel like guys. Gender and gender identity are two separate things. This is my point. One is what you are and one is what you feel like you are.

Gender is simply biological fact. You fall into 1 of 3 categories. Male, female or hermaphrodite.
Done. Closed book, end of the conversation.

Gender identity is what you feel you are. You might be a biological male but feel like a women. That's fine. You might be biologically a female but feel like a wolf. That's weird as fuck but fine.

The political correct bullshit I'm talking about is when, primarily liberal fucktards, people decide that gender identity = gender. When it's not. And when people decide that it's "offensive" to assume or ask a person their gender simply because it might not match their 'gender identity'.

So when someone like Violex says its "nonbinary" it's political correct bullshit and it rubs me the wrong way much like people that say they believe in God because it's so fucking stupid you wanna shake the Jesus out of them.
