If a sperm can reproduce itself that what use is the females egg. Sounds like male parthenogenesis to me: not going to happen. Where in hell did you ever get the idea that a spermatozoa can reproduce itself? That never happens, those spermatozoa that don't dig into the egg die, period.

Sounds like a little shorthand to me. Sperm can produce organisms that produce more sperm, a male.
