RE: Is atheism other set beliefs,or it reverts to pure logical, scientific based thinking?
Chas pretty much nailed it. Atheism is one stance on one subject. Gods.

Easy way to explain this.....

Theism is the belief in a god or gods.
Atheism is a lack of belief in a god or gods.

Gnosticism is to know.
Agnosticism is to not know, or can't know.

Depending on which side of the fence you sit on... you can be an agnostic atheist meaning you lack belief in a god or gods and you don't know or can't know if one exists. You could be a gnostic atheist meaning you know there is no god and don't believe in a god or gods.

The other side is you believe in a god or gods and you know they exist, this is a gnostic theist. Then there is agnostic theist which is you believe in a god or gods but don't know for sure if they exist, or you can't know for sure they exist.

The gnostic side requires knowledge of this. For most of us on this forum, this means you need to have evidence of this claim. If you claim to be a gnostic atheist you would need the same, which is knowledge. Many take the stance of agnosticism because many feel that it is impossible to know if one does or does not exist. One requires "faith" and one requires no faith. A default position, many would say, is agnostic atheist since it requires no evidence, no belief, simply a lack of belief on the stance of whether or not a god exists.

As Chas has mentioned, it sounds like what you seek is skepticism. Skepticism is an approach to claims. It means someone makes a claim and instead of taking someone's word for it, you take the time to look into it, do your research and make an informed opinion or discovery of said claim. Science in itself is a method, a way of making models and discovering things. It inherently is not "truth" in and of itself, but is a way of understanding things, a method of understanding.

Is atheism actual a way to liberate oneself from "beliefs stupidity", or does it implies more beliefs which have to be believed?

Atheist is a belief like off is a TV channel. Atheism is the rejection of theistic claims. This is based on the evidence or lack thereof from the proponents of theism. Lizards? Do you mean reptilians/annunaki? Are you possibly struggling with this because you were told that we have a part of the brain that is reptilian? Or that the foetus in early human development is reminiscent of a reptile?
