Let's examine religions from the perspective that a god doesn't exist. All of their descriptions of god will be wrong by default. Nothing they could possibly say could be true because no such being exists.
In other words, they can never be right.

We could also look at the idea of a galactic god who manages over a billion star systems and isn't aware of the life on every single planet, but is aware of the more advanced societies.
None of our religions describe this kind of galactic god, so again, no religion would be correct.

I can keep going and invent all kinds of gods that could exist, in which we aren't aware of.

This is why, it's best to believe in things that have evidence to back up that belief. If not, you could fill your mind with a billion different gods from a billion different galaxies, if you so choose .

But really, who has time for that ?
