Everything we know was once a theory.

The multiverse is a theory. The process of proving or disproving it is science (even if it takes hundreds of years to do so).

If there are scientists out there trying to prove or disprove it, it's science. You don't ever know the outcome of science ahead of time.

Personally, I think a multiverse is pretty likely. But that's not even a theory, it's an uneducated opinion.

The multiverse is not technically a theory since it is as yet untestable. It is an idea, maybe a hypothesis.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

I'm just gonna say, I try not to esplode my brain with this kind of stuff. I have a feeling you need to study physics at an advanced level for years to actually begin to understand it, so I'd be crazy to try with absolutely no experience. Because to me, Schrodinger's Cat sounds like as much bullshit as talking donkeys and zombie Jesuses.

Better without God, and happier too.

I don't agree.

'Cause you are wrong. Wink

Quantum superposition is an observable phenomenon. It has been observed. At the visible level where we can fucking see it with the naked eye.

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

I just came upon this BBC Doc about parallel universes. Don't have anything to say about it yet, because I'm just starting to watch it. But I imagine everything in it is true because it's from the BBC and everyone has a fancy accent.

Yeah, on particles, not on freakin' cats.

Did someone say Brian Greene?

For you bullshit callers, let me drop some knowledge on you:

RE: Is it or is it not science?
This one is fairly easy to follow.
Given the "fine-tuning" problem, is it more elegant to go for the multiverse idea or the gods idea?

Not just on particles no more, ChasMan. First quantum effects seen in visible object.
