Is masturbation harmless fun?

Don't worry: it's from the series Louie. The hot chick is Liz Holtan by the way. Am I glad she isn't a fundie (certainly hope so), would be such a waste.

RE: Is masturbation harmless fun?
Speaking for men only, it appears that if you're young and feel like masturbating too frequently, don't do it, it increases your risk of prostate cancer. But if you're old and don't feel much like masturbating at all, do it anyway, it diminishes your risk of prostate cancer. Huh Ain't life grand. I can provide the links to the actual studies if anyone's interested (but if you're that interested you can easily find them yourself. Wink) But WebMd's summary feels about right for this forum.

Masturbation Frequency Linked to Prostate Risk in 20s, Protection in 50s

These days what doesn't give men prostate cancer? Estrogen levels in water have been linked to increase the risk. I say we're damned if we do damned if we don't. At least jerkin the gerkin is fun. Water doesn't even have sugar in it for fuck sakes.

I'm pretty sure that applies to all teenage guys, there's no if about it Big Grin.

A relatively recent hypothesis is that estrogens, not androgens, are primarily responsible for initiating prostate cancer. Just another argument for TRT as far as I can tell. Wink

Yeah, you should just keep jerkin' off Hughsie. I'd be disappointed it you didn't. Hell, there might even be something wrong you with if you didn't. (But there's probably something also wrong with you if you feel the need to, I dunno, 5-10 times/day.) We'll have this shit sorted out by the time your prostate needs to worry about it. But my prostate needs to start worrying about it now.

Origen, the early Chridtian teacher chose self castration; a later autopsy showed no signs of prostate cancer.Cool
