Is science better or getting better?
Is science (observing and making judgements about observations) any more accurate today or better today than it was in the past?

There are no dumb questions... Just stupid people..

I can already predict where you are going with this. It's a loaded question that shows your skewed outlook.

I'll make this simple for you: You are wrong. Go away and learn something. Try accepting new knowledge and try lowering your bias. Maybe try looking for information that doesn't confirm your prejudiced views.

Maybe you can answer the famous Shockofgod question: is atheism is true and correct?

Thats on par with your question, so answer that and then I'll answer your question.

RE: Is science better or getting better?
We certainly have more accurate methods of prediction, advanced technologies and more empirical data from which to draw conclusions. However, those are necessary but, insufficient ingredients for "better".

Far too many new technologies are being used to produce weaponry, which is not better. Also, politics has slithered its filthy, oppressive hands into some of the sciences and that's not only not better... it's much worse. After all, we're a lot better off not knowing than we are in believing lies.

RE: Is science better or getting better?
In order to see if science is better than previous science periods is to look at paradigm shifts in science. There certainly have been paradigm shifts in science but how does one come to the conclusion that one paradigm is better than the other? At the most one can only say that they are different.

Human societies and cultures go through paradigm shifts all the time. Humans observe things, make assertions, the culture agrees on these assertions, these assertions are then counted as "truth" or "fact" , then at certain times there are paradigm shifts. This is the same whether it's from religion or science.

Their are huge philosophical problems with this method that religion and science employ.

Watch these videos as philosophy bends science over the table and expose the idiotic idea of a linear notion of "from worse to better" idea of scientific progress.

Are you trying to argue something along the lines that slavery, racism, sexism, etc was all "subjective" and there really wasn't a right or wrong? Science is science. Whatever religious, or pseudo-science was used to justify the above claims were wrong, and not scientific at all.

As for the idea that the scientific method could degenerate in the future, it could happen. It would still be bad science though.

Philosopy asks questions that it cant answer. Science searches for the answers.

The whole philosopy v science thing you are doing doesnt fit here. If you really want to do that stick with the philosophy section.

Scientific observations are more accurate than in the past, and scientific theories continue to effectively predict those observations as they are refined over time. Our scientific knowledge continues to increase in quantity and precision.

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

How do you know it has increased in precision?

It has more decimal places. That's what increased in precision means.
