I said 7.
The True Jews know the 10 commandments "of" Moses. Are you a Samaritan or something?

Mortal, you are on unstable ground when you address the Loose Cannon of the Æsir as "dear." I would not be particularly surprised to learn later in the coming week that you had been fired from your job, your computer had experienced a kernel panic, and a pipe had burst in the suite above your flat, flooding your library and ruining all your academic papers.

Care to restate your case in more polite language?

The 10 commandments are really just the title headers for the rest of the 603 commandments that follow them. The 10 are no more important than the rest of the 603. But these laws only apply to Jews. They don't apply to you.

The Gentiles have seven laws.

Edit: Typo.

Am I correct in assuming that those are the laws governing behaviour, rather than the ones about belief and worship?

These 7 cover belief and worship:
1. Do not murder.
2. Do not steal.
3. Do not worship false gods.
4. Do not be sexually immoral.
5. Do not eat a limb removed from a live animal.
6. Do not curse God.
7. Set up courts and bring offenders to justice

Note that #'s 3 and 6 do not say that you must believe in G-d. It only says don't curse G-d, and it tells you not to worship false gods.

In a denial tactic the person includes word "no". And, look: "....there's no shame...."

Please do not think instead of atheists. Nobody knows what is inside a head, if there is no notion of sin. Is not necessary to believe in Olympic gods to carry the Olympic Fire.

How many times do we have to re-iterate it Bogus?

What you call "sin" and what we might call "wrong doing" (even if not a crime) may have things in common. But also differences.

For example of a difference: 2000 or more years ago fornication might not have been a good idea. Especially in a semi-dessert area. There was no real birth control, lousy medical services and every able bodied person was needed to keep society going. The food:population balance had to be kept survivable. No real law enforcement so the priests were tasked with making fornicators feel bad. Fornication became a "social sin" an idea backed up by those who claimed they spoke for their "god".

No, we have birth control so we can fuck-for-fun if we are sensible. Fornication is no longer a "social sin", enjoy! The only bad act is having kids and mot supporting them.

Tomorrow is precious, don't ruin it by fouling up today.

Thank you for the list; I hadn't previously seen that group of laws.

I'm trying to imagine the circumstances that would have necessitated rule #5, and the way #7 is phrased, as a positive admonition rather than a "do not" is interesting.
