Democratic mutual masturbation thread, eh?

When you looked down in the sand and there was only one set of footprints, that is when Obama carried you.

It is more like the, "Romney didn't fuckin' win, so eat that shithead thread". Then again, you are the type of person who thinks small government would still work.

I love this idea that people think dems worship Obama and will support him no matter what. It usually comes from religious asshats who worship a make-believe sky-daddy. But the absurdity makes me laugh no matter who suggests it.

Yeah, but the thing is, they did every thing correct politically: They painted their opponent out to be what their constituency hates (i.e. a Muslim, socialist, anti-American), they made sure economically and fiscally we were in as bad of a position as possible without completely crashing things, they made sure that majority to all of the blame for our problems was put on their opponent, they were financially and politically backed by the wealthy elite and bet the house, they elected the candidate in their party that had the best chance of getting elected, they turned out a really decent amount of votes and enthusiasm from their base, they pulled over some swing voters, and after all of that, they still took a pretty substantial loss, that given the future of demographics, can only get worse.

That's called justice, vindication for Obama, and a wake up call for the Republican party and their puppet masters. They wasted they all of their time, all of their money, and all of their negative effort that put this country in a place that is much worse than it would have been if they didn't play dirty politics and intentionally suppress progress. Now it's moment of truth time.

It's kind of their asses, and the future of their party on the line now. Obama has the leverage that John Boehner had with him in their debt negotiations. They put a dent in his first-term legacy, but now the only thing they can take is a huge chunk out of progress for the American people and Obama's legend status as a great president.

The problems we have right now are paramount and plentiful, but extremely easy to solve with good leadership. They are easy compromises, simple solutions, and overall, we seem to have a huge potential for growth and potential to get a lot of monumental things done domestically. Foreign affairs, on the other hand, might get kind of tough, and I hope they don't get in the way, but our problems at home can be solved easily.
I agree with you summation of their actions. Hell I would actually go one step further and say their actions were treasonous, but maybe that is just me.

Anyways, what makes you think they will actually stop? It just didn't work this one time, but that doesn't mean it might not work next time.

Even despite their laughable political stances, their imaginary budget plans and reforms, their openly racist slander, they still got nearly half the countries vote FFS!
And that was for an insanely rich Mormon with extremely questionable business ethics.

I am willing to bet they do the EXACT same thing again. They will cockblock him at every to ensure a recovery is as slow as possible, and then criticize the next democratic nominee with supporting Obama's policies.

The republicans dominate the house atm, and the majority in the senate for the democrats is almost nothing. Also note that the Democrats don't vote unanimously on every issue like the Republicans often do. Corporate greed has bought our politicians on both sides, thus passing legislation unfavorable to them our the aristocrats is difficult at best. Regardless, unless Obama grows some balls and tells them to stick the filibuster up their ass, there is no chance something could get past the senate any damn way.

So no matter how you look at it.
Even if I were to assume that Obama is a stand up guy and actually wanted to change things for the better of the people, rather than the 1%, he can't. The aristocrats own this country! The few politicians they don't own are nullified by the multitude they do.

I am all for optimism, but as far as I can see, nothing has changed.
Romney was standing there with a water hose, but luckily we ran him off. But we are still stuck in the mudd!

Hmm. Still not seeing it. Sounds, to me, like you're butt-hurt about Gary Johnson not winning?

If there had been an alternative, I would have looked at it seriously. Professor O'bomba is seriously inept in a few ways. The thing I hate the most, is he caved to the military, and his drone strike policy is off the rails.

There are things to like and things to dislike about Obama (such as drone strikes, the indefinite detention in the NDAA, etc.). I don't buy this GOP line saying that things would have been better under Mitt, with him running the govt like a business. The government is not a business, it's a government. Being a business leader doesn't inherently make you qualified to be a government leader. Moreover, he had an undefined plan and a shitty history.

Don't be absurd. I knew full well there was a better chance of Mickey Mouse being elected through write-ins.
