I don't mean to brag or anything, but I've survived the apocalypse 69 times... Cool

That's a shit load of wolf tears.

Theism is to believe what other people claim, Atheism is to ask "why should I".

Every day is the end of the world as we know it. Change happens.Drinking Beverage

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

Since there is no god and no hell, I see little reason to repent and turn from my reference dangling ways. Tongue

It sure is. I knew about the major predictions like Y2K and the Mayan calendar, but since deconverting I kept running across more of them and hearing about crazy things like

-People giving away all their possessions and ending up penniless in their 60s
-Castrating themselves
-Committing mass suicide so they could hitch a ride on a comet

and it made me curious to know how many end of the world predictions there have been. Unless you count the Millerites or whoever it was that changed their prediction from a literal end to a figurative end, we have a lot of predictions and a 100% failure rate so far, so it seems like people should ask for a little more evidence before even planning their day around an apocalypse - not to mention cutting their balls off.... Huh
