Welcome anyway.

Heh heh, I hope everyone knows I'm being facetious with my intro. Then again, no one knows me so how would they know? See what I mean ... about being new? I'm used to everyone knowing me and what passes for my humor. It's very dry. Any Brits around here will get it.

Thank y'all for the welcomes thus far. Yeah, I'm sure someone will be pissed at me before the end of the weekend -- to whomever said I have new people to piss off. I'm rather disliked by the religious fundevanglist crowd. Evil_monster

Hi, and yeah, you write like you're a fellow Brit! Smile

I'll just play the 'can I help you' lick!!!

I erm.... you sound like fun! Welcome Big Grin

I have a website here which discusses the issues and terminology surrounding religion and atheism. It's hopefully user friendly to all.

Well, pull up a chair then. We like you already. Bowing

I'm reminded of the story of Teddy Roosevelt's rebellious, bright, funny daughter, Alice Roosevelt Longworth, who was one of the great characters in Washington DC society. She once said about Calvin Coolidge "He looks like he's been weaned on a pickle." Laugh out load Google his picture.

Anyway, she gave a lot parties in Washington and she had a needle point pillow with this embroidered on it:
“If you haven’t got anything nice to say about anyone, come and sit here by me.”

Welcome!

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

I'd say you're already a hit.

Yep. I'm stalking my prey. Hmm, where to pounce ...
since you are feeling all new and alone, you could take on the spirit presented in my favorite colonial British joke.

Brandishing his ceremonial sword, he replies,
" Excellent, left tennant, we can attack in any di-rection!"

Thankee, thankee everyone, this does seem like a good set of people. I read some of the posts in the personal support thread and it damn near brought me to tears -- not because of the grief, but for the outpouring of support. Truely awesome.

It might take me awhile to warm up, but, meh and stuff, hopefully I'll get there.

See you around the place. Heart
