RE: It's time
Is it strange that I don't want to think about her for the rest of the day?

Undecided

I'm not really sad anymore, just....emotionally exhausted. I let it all out while I was holding her for the final moments.

No, that's not strange. You already said it - emotionally exhausted.

Chill and don't guilt. You are a little numb right now, but that will wear off.

A big hug from me Tarty.

No it's not. I felt the same way. It is emotionally draining.

Big hugs, Tarty Hug

Do whatever feels right for you. Everyone grieves in there own way. Thinking of you.

Heart Hug

I hope that the world turns, and things get better. But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that, even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you. - V for Vendetta

That's perfectly normal.

Being emotional is exhausting, at some point your brain switches them off and you just become calm.

Everything will be fine, it just takes time.

Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

Not at all strange. And you likely won't have a long block of time with grief anyway - there will be small increments of time creeping up on you when you don't expect it.

Sounds like all went very well.
