Kudos. I've been trying to think of a good parody of the subject line. You sir, are a frickin' genius!

It's not so hard! Is it? ........ It is. !

The site was screwed up for a while this afternoon. I had posted :

"that's what his wife said last night"

I originally typed:
It's not so difficult, is it? ........ It is.

But less mileage in that.

I'll set 'em up; you knock 'em in.

And one wonders: who screwed the site, Erxy? Eh?

(let the screwing jokes commence)

PS. Is there copyright police on these boards? I do apologise thenWink

I don't know if Stewart Lee has been on QI but you might enjoy his comments regarding Clarkson.

Some random grammar rule today, well its not important!

I'm ok with change. Language evolves, no probs. And I don't care about the occasional typo.

But it's (it is) also about communication.

We have other threads on this topic so I won't go there (at 4am).

It's (it is) just that when I scan-read, a grammatical error stops the flow 'cos I have to re-read to confirm the real meaning.

Curiously, TheJackal's posts were consistently reversing "its" and "it's" so I quickly got used to the convention but Bucky Baby... I hope you are reading this... I could scream at you sometimes!

And Diablo, I will assume your error was deliberate just for LOLs. If not I'm gonna -1 ya arse!
Yes it is all about communication, and with this particular case there seems to be zero capability of misinterpretation.

As long as the person reading it understands the meaning, then what is the problem?

Haha!
Is he ever right about Dan Brown, which, sadly rings too close to home for me - that's exactly the type of bilge I translate (well, mine's mostly young adult fantasy crap, but same difference, really...). And I like it how they all enjoy ribbing Russell Brand so much (Alan Davies' reaction to this picture http://www.arkive.org/northern-white-che...39873.html once was "That's Russell Brand")

Stewart Lee hasn't been on QI, but last night they made fun of that Richard Hammond guy and, to my ever-lasting delight, someone really let Bono have it, that self-important, self-appointed messiah with an ego the size of Africa Smile

Speaking of Dan Brown, that's what Stephen Fry has to say of his "books"

What palnai said. And it does stand for Quite Interesting (which it is, as well very funny and you also learn a lot of interesting, albeit not necessarily useful, facts... but I think that knowledge is useful in and of itself, so...)

This is a pretty good example of what it is all about, imo:

Nope, mine. I used that weeks ago.
