From a perspective of scientism, if we want to verify another's claim, we can observe the same in nature or reproduce the experiment in our testing.

If you want evidence for Jesus Christ and you presently don't see any in nature (in your locus of the world, since millions of others claim to see Him) you can plan testable conditions and do your own experiment. Me telling you about Jesus is anecdotal, right?

Test for yourself.

You lack the barest comprehension of the scientific method or of the burden of proof.

Your demand is idiotic. Are you trying to invent a new field, experimental theology?

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

RE: "Jane, you ignorant slut!"
I see. Yours is the burden of proof since it is evident to arguably between 80 and 99% of people who have ever lived that there is a god.

Yours is the burden of proof since you claim you cannot prove a negative, and therefore, you have nothing to assert for which there is any proof.

What is the kind of results you seek to confirm from me? You've said I'm delusional and ignorant. You should therefore discredit my testimony and tests. Which tests would you like to accomplish for yourself?

When a bunch of scientists make a discovery they don't say to people "design your own experiment and we'll tell ya if you get it wrong". They lay out details of their experiment, enough that other people can repeat the trial and confirm the data. They also, if they make deductions, lay out their reasoning so that it can be checked.

Because humans are fallible, so results of a single experiment may very well be down to some quirk in the experimental set up, or the researcher's own unconscious bias and other factors. That's *why* repeat experiments by independent researchers, even researchers whose personal dearly held views are at odds with the theory in question, are necessary.

You have claimed that this standard of repeatability exists for Jesus, as far as I can make out, so *your* experiments and your interpretations are of interest.

I can't repeat your experiments if you're gonna be all coy about the method and the data and the analysis.

So either you can retract your claim or provide details. Up to you Drinking Beverage

The scriptures lay some ground rules here. For example, ask and receive.

Every Christian I've heard a testimony from, and there are many, have asked and received. We can even account for the small number of deconverted atheists who claim they've asked and not received as anomalous.

Approximately 78% of all who ever lived were atheist up until the early Egyptians, when the number dropped slightly to 64%. It has since risen to 68% and remains there. This figure also accounts for those who put on an appearance of belief, but actually don't believe and remain silent for fear of social or political consequences.

If Jesus died for our sins, why is there still sin? If man was created from dust, why is there still dust? If Americans came from Europe, why are there still Europeans?

PJ, what is your favorite soup? One of the most memorable soups I've ever had was in a small restaurant in Jenkintown PA. It was garlic soup. Some beef broth and heavy garlic. Damn, it was years ago but I still salivate just thinking of it.

I'm not asking what you heard from other people. I want *your* evidence. You said you'd got it. Testable, falsifiable etc. Either admit that you were lying / don't have a clue what testable means, or produce it.

We'll love you just the way you are

Ah, but if I provided my testable, falsifiable evidence I'd be proving Jesus is God when I made the condition that you'd have to jump through your hoop first and prove you exist.

In the meantime, Jesus offers you proof directly if you ask...
