Dunno about FL, but in MD guns are not allowed to be loaded inside the gun show. Guess you could stop an armed gunman with an unloaded gun if you used it as a blunt instrument.

And once again, in a country with more guns, more "good guys with guns," and more mass shootings than any other, we should have more mass shootings stopped by "good guys with guns." But we don't.

What happened instead in Dallas? The police believed there to be multiple suspects shooting into the crowds and even tweeted out a photo of an open-carry activist saying he was a suspect. So not only did the "good guys with guns" not stop a mass shooting, they made it increasingly more confusing and could have gotten themselves killed in the chaos.

And keep making more "gun free zones" --- wannabe killers need more hunting grounds....

More special pleading. A mass shooting happens in NOT a gun-free zone with police and open-carry activists, and they don't stop it, prevent it, or deter the shooter.

You know why mass shooters don't walk into a Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop? Or a gun show? Or the NRA convention?

Once again, no examples of mass shootings stopped by "good guys with guns." I even give you an example of a mass shooting that not only wasn't in a gun-free zone, but was populated by cops and open-carry activists, and they still didn't stop it.

But yeah, what would happen if, in a gun-rich environment, someone decided to start shooting everyone? Want to bet that (just like in Dallas) it would be mass hysteria with no one being sure who the bad guy(s) is/are and that the "good guys with guns" would end up killing one another?

Myth: Good guys with guns stop and/or deter mass shootings. In a country with more guns, "good guys with guns," and mass shootings, there should be more more mass shootings stopped by "good guys with guns." Instead, even in places populated by "good guys with guns," there are mass shootings.

These are facts from observations that cause you to keep repeating yourself:
"But, gun-free zones have mass shootings too!"
"The examples of mass shootings not in gun-free zones are special because the person doing it took that into account and did X."

The special pleading and perpetuation of myth/fantasy is too religious for my taste.

And all you have to do is use your head.

Let's look at that article that shows a whopping 4 shootings stopped in 2014 and compare that with the total number of mass shootings that year (http://www.shootingtracker.com).

4 stopped, 277 reported for a rate of 1.4%.

Once again, the "good guys with guns" myth is more fiction than reality. We have more guns than any other other country and more "good guys with guns" and more mass shootings. What do other countries with better regulations and restrictions on firearms and firearm owners have? Far fewer mass shootings.

Keep on trying to cherry-pick though. Consider

That wasn't a mass shooting, or as the FBI labels it, an active shooter. That was a sniper attack. The shooter used a barricaded, elevated position with a scoped weapon, on an outdoor location. Mass shootings, or active shooter events, take place in confined, populated areas where people have no or little opportunity to escape.

RE: Japan - 15 killed in knife attack
How many different ways do you want the information presented to you that shows that America has more gun deaths and mass shootings than other countries with no corresponding increase in the number of "good guys with guns" stopping them?

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/14/upshot....html?_r=0
http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/13/health/mas...aphs-trnd/

This is a good stat to highlight, America has ~5% of the world's population, but since 1966 America has had almost 1/3 of all public mass shootings.

Now your interest is in redefining a specific incident with your preferred definition of a mass shooting to make the example of a shooter in an area that allows guns and was populated with open-carry activists and police, invalid?

Your arguments are getting increasingly more similar to that or a religious person's.

Phony statistics. The FBI says that only 160 mass shootings occurred between 2000-2013. That list of 277 for 2014 would include things like gang shootings, drug violence, and domestic violence. Barely any of that list would fit the FBI's definition of active shooter. A concealed carrier isn't going to be around to stop gang violence in a house party or in a residence where some assist shoots up his family.
