You must be thinking of someone else. Either that, or this was the insult I was waiting for... Not sure which

The both meet in the middle and have a circle-jerk. Now what? LET THE INSULTS BEGIN! Hahaha. No I don't REALLY believe that (Maybe just a little) but it was fun anyway. I seriously am awaiting the insults though, don't disappoint me.

I am a political moderate, so when I say that the Democrats are better than the Republicans, you can believe me.

Well, you proved that your the pivot man in the circle jerk, don't know how that qualifies you as a trust worthy source Consider

Not a pivot man. I think both parties are comprised of ignoramuses. I just go with whatever plan works within the limitations of morality.

Yah we do, but I think that is referring to voting.

Was that directed at an American? The US doesn't have a national ID. That would be way too big-brother-y. You heard about the whole long-form birth certificate bullshit, right? If there were a national ID, that wouldn't have happened. Also, we wouldn't have this current hubbub about the allegedly rampant voter fraud.

Useful for the gubmen' tracking our every move. PAPERS!

Suffice to say, aint none of us clean. Nor will we be until our polotians are brought to account, in the meantime any kind of support for the system is compicity and we all gotta pay our taxes.

They should be your concern. The economy is global. One country's leadership goes down the toilet, everyone feels a negative effect.

By concern, I mean that I have no say, nor indeed any right to a say over American polotics. I am not now or have ever been an American citizen. Therefore it is not my concern.

Am I concerned as in in the sense of worried, then yes I am, but what concerns me is not the economy, it is more that the values of our collective society have changed to such an extent that I have no sympathy for us any more. We have lost our way and condone the abhorant, ignore the blatant power mongering of our goverments and the obvious fact that it is getting worse day by day.

So yes, Im worried about your country, but its not my business its you and your fellow citizens that have that happy task.

Oh, I don't know about that. I think we are slowly making progress about understand one another. Religion, and racism, and homophobia, and what not are slowly diminishing as we become more global. There is, however, more effective technology for us to kill each other. I'm actually surprised no nuclear weapons have been used by anyone, on anyone in nearly 70 years. You have to admit, that is pretty damn impressive. It has been estimated that there are over 20,000 nuclear weapons and none have been used on people in almost 70 years. There is hope for us yet.

No, I was just asking if people in the US have a national identification document, because of the pic Logica posted. I thought it was weird as I think such documents are useful... Tongue

My bad.

Also can I just say I'm not a Democrat.
I'm socially left and economically right so I think that makes me a Libertarian.
I just think that Democrats are better then Republicans and because no small party is gonna get in realistically I would vote for Democrats just so Republicans didn't get in.

Hey earmuffs,

Fellow Libertarian here. I would not normally vote for either party (Though I did vote for Republican candidate Ron Paul in the primaries because he is truly a Libertarian). Anyhow, I'd like to encourage you to vote for what you believe in. Any vote that you cast that is against your ideas is the only time your vote is wasted. Now that I've done my 'preaching' I'll shut up about it. We would need a whole new thread to debate that one. Ok, I'm done, back to your Republican bashing. Have fun! Big Grin

I do vote for who I believe in. (I don't live in the states, I live in New Zealand).

But in this case by voting for the Democrats I would still be voting for who I believe in, in the sense that I believe that they are lessor of the two evils.

Oi! A Kiwi! Haha, that's okay. Any way, voting for the less of two evils still means you are voting for evil.
