I know! For whatever reason, the smell of burnt offerings was pleasing to the OS, so you had to do that all the time.

When they finally updated the OS in the New Testament Version, they got rid of that part, and supposedly the OS was a lot more forgiving. Ironically, if you didn't do things just right, it would freeze up on you for all eternity.
