Christmas music is an annual attempt to recreate the antiquated childhood memories of baby boomers. It is NOT snappy!

(I made the mistake of walking into a store between Thanksgiving and Christmas yesterday. The horror.)

I am so thankful that I don't have to work retail and listen to that crap from Halloween through New Year's Day. Tongue

The entire genre is stale, stagnant, and monotonous.... especially when you play it over store intercoms for 10 hours straight with no break at all.

Silent Night and O Holy Night. Do I win?

Written in 1818 and 1847, respectively. No, sir, you do not.

So this hypothetical retail employer. Would it by any chance stock things that can be employed violently as weapons? Gardening tools? Appliances? Neckties? Powdered creamer?

O Holy Night is still one of my favorite songs. Seasonal or otherwise.

Yeah, I love Sarah Silverman and this song is pretty snappy too. But I've got young children who I like to dance and sing with. I don't think these lyrics are quite appropriate for their innocent little ears to hear. Laugh out load

I've always liked this song too. Ranks up there with Ave Maria as one of the religious songs I still like.
