Jesus isn't coming back
I made a short video recently talking about why (according to the bible) if Jesus didn't come back 2,000 years ago, he's not coming back at all. This assumes if Jesus actually existed and was the real deal.

I reference the bible: Mark 9:1

The counter argument to this is my interpretation is incorrect. People think that this verse is in reference to the transfiguration. I beg to differ.

If he does come back, it certainly won't be to the USA. He's a man from the mid-East who doesn't have a birth certificate or a passport. And if they asked him his name and he said "Jesus" - he would be deported to Mexico.

I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best.

I've always thought a pretty clear reading of the Bible indicated Jesus was supposed to return relatively soon after he left the first time.

I think you are giving too much up by using he bible at all. Use Dr. Seuss, he makes more sense and is just as credible.

That's my point. Jesus talks about coming back like he's going to happen really soon (within the apostles own life time). It didn't happen.

Yet people keep waiting and predicting.

I use the bible because I'm trying to use Christian's own doctrine against them. I'm trying to show that their own doctrine tells them that Jesus was supposed to be back a long time ago.

But I agree. The bible being used as evidence by any real standard of measurement is not a good resource at all.
