Jesus' opinion on homosexuality
It's often said that Jesus never mentioned anything about homosexuality, but I've found that the Gospels do contain isolated quotations that might be missed on a casual reading:

Mark 12:31
Quote:"You shall love your neighbor as yourself"
After all, a man can only "love himself" the way he would another man, and the same with a woman.

Matthew 15:11
Quote:"not what goes into the mouth defiles a man, but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man"
BJs = good. Spitting = bad. Got it.

Mark 7:15
Quote:"there is nothing outside a man which by going into him can defile him;"
I think he just gave permission for more than BJs.

Matthew 16:23
Quote:"Get behind me, Satan!"
And people act like these to don't get along!

I don't think Jesus ever directly condemn homosexuality.
He did say that if a man looked lustfully at a woman he had committed adultery.
Nothing about looking at the same sex.
The major condemnations occur in the O.T. along with the need to stone naughty kids at the city gates, destroy witches, adulterists etc

IIRC Paul was the one who was really fixated on prohibiting sex in all it's forms. Miserable bugger.

Yes. Jesus was much more open-minded about these things. Perhaps Paul shouldn't have spent so much time alone, writing letters.

Think about it..... This Jesus guy supposedly never had any women, and hung around a dozen guys all the time.....

You DON'T think some gay stuff was going on there?????

Surrrreeee............ That's real believable...

The difference between prayer and masturbation - is when a guy is through masturbating - he has something to show for his efforts.

It just never made sense to me that the Catholic Church condemns homosexuality yet its savior was a confirmed bachelor with 12 male companions. Oh, and it won't let its priests marry anyone. Nothing weird about any of that.

Check out my now-defunct atheism blog. It's just a blog, no ads, no revenue, no gods.

Christianity really should be called Saulism.

God does not work in mysterious ways — he works in ways that are indistinguishable from his non-existence.
Jesus had a pretty rough weekend for your sins.

He had a Jewish mother. She would have done what all Jewish mothers have done and gotten a match for him early in life. It's very unlikely that, if he was a real guy, he wasn't married, especially if he was a rabbi.

Christianity has an aversion to sex though, don't they. So they had to make their father-son combo a single guy. It kinda complicated the story too much if he had a wife so hey, edit the wife out.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

A little known omission from the bible was that his greatest commandment was to cup the balls.

"If we are honest—and scientists have to be—we must admit that religion is a jumble of false assertions, with no basis in reality.
The very idea of God is a product of the human imagination."
- Paul Dirac
