It's not that I don't want the job, it's more that my anxiety would skyrocket and well, that's not good for me or the company (and I luff the company... and me more).

Well, that is a concern. I think that to be successful the job and your personality have to be somewhat compatible. Only you would know, hopefully they are and you don't know it yet.

You like the company, you want the job. You might be surprised how far that can take you in dealing with anxiety. If they will take the time to train you I think you could learn the skills required.

I have faith in you.

Not sure yet. Doing pros and cons. My reasons for not wanting to take it atm are legit so I'm just covering all the bases.

There is nothing to fear but fear itself... Which, oddly, seems appropriate if you're worried about anxiety and panic attacks?

If you take the job, I'm sure you'll do well, and its really only the first few days that are a bit intense. But they don't NEED to be. Even in the first week, don't worry too much, I've found that most employers realize a new employee is nervous and untrained. They will allow for some mistakes.

But, from personal experience with my on/off symptoms: If you're receiving financial aid, it will probably stop when you take the job. When I couldn't work, I started recieving aid. Then when the summer (2 years ago) came, the symptoms faded and I took a job... But the symptoms worsened again, and I hadn't held it long enough, and bam, no money. Don't know what your situation is, or if it would affect you, but just a heads up.

RE: Job interview tomorrow: pretending I know shit when I don't
If I get a call saying I'm hired, I'm going to politely refuse. To get down to it, it doesn't matter what gender I am, if a customer is upset and wants their money back and can't keep their cool, yelling is going to be had. If I'm a customer representative, I need to know the product and what's wrong with it and it's not a good move to hire someone who doesn't know most of the products they sell.

Still, I'm glad for the opportunity to have my first interview in awhile.

Will keep you folks updated on my jobsearch. Thumbsup
